What an exciting tour! Our guide, Laila—knowledgeable and very engaging—helped us discover, through historical narratives peppered with fascinating facts, the life of the castle during the various historical events in which it played a central role. Inside the castle, medieval reenactors entertained the crowd with market displays and mock battles. The Alfama district, which we visited next, was equally fascinating, offering a glimpse into just how much the locals cherish this historic part of the city. Kudos to the organizers.

An amazing experience!!! Our guide, DEE, was extraordinary; we spent hours walking around without even realizing it, hearing fascinating stories about Portugal—many of which were little-known facts. From the castle to exploring different neighborhoods like Alfama, we’re so glad we took this guided tour—and in French, no less!!! Thanks to our guide—without her, it wouldn’t have been such an authentic and interesting experience! I highly recommend this for a fabulous tour of Lisbon. During the tour, we also got to taste cherry liqueur and the famous pasteis de nata, along with the story of their origins. Don’t hesitate—it’s totally worth it ❤️❤️ +++++++

João gave us a lot of historical context behind the castle and the way the Moors designed it. It was great to walk through it and learn the ways it would have been defended during a potential attack. I would definitely recommend it to history and military lovers

The tour and the tour guide where amazing. However, sadly my wife's belongings were stolen right after leaving the castle and purchasing souvenirs in the stores outside the castle . Please warn tourists about petty crime aroud the castle .
