Everything was very efficient, both the Lisboa Card and the tickets purchased for the Pena Palace. We had to wait in lines, but they moved quite quickly anyway.

The freedom to use public transportation without having to worry about tickets and such. Plus, we have several opportunities to take advantage of free or discounted admission.

Having access to public transportation at any time was very helpful, Some attractions even had a separate line, so you didn't have to wait as long

Sure, the Lisboa Card is really convenient for public transportation, and it also makes getting into attractions easier. The price for a 1- or 2-day pass isn’t exactly a bargain, precisely because you can’t visit that many attractions in just a few days—they’re often quite far apart—and you’ll still have to wait in line, even if the lines are shorter! In March… imagine what it’s like in August!! And then if you lose it, like I did...!!! Luckily, I only went missing for half a day.

Unfortunately, the priority access to the Jerónimos Monastery didn't work out, since a long line had already formed in front of the monastery and everyone had a Lisboa Card. I would recommend booking a timed entry slot online. Using public transportation went really smoothly.
    • Visit one of the world's first museums dedicated to modern and contemporary art, the National Museum of Contemporary Art in Lisbon, founded in 1911.

    • Surround yourself with over 5,000 paintings, sculptures, and photographs by notable artists like Abel Manta, Adriano Sousa Lopes, and Paula Rego.

    • Choose a Lisbon Card which gives you free access to several attractions for a period of 24 to 72 hours, and hassle-free public transportation.

    • Fun Fact: During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Education Service launched a series of online lectures from the museum called Conversas Sobre o Retrato that reached over 42,000 families per episode.
