The entire excursion was amazing. The palaces are beautiful, and I fulfilled my dream of visiting Regaleira, which fully met my expectations. We ended the day with Boca do Inferno at sunset, an incredible place! Cascais and its beautiful beach. The guides, Miguel and Derian, were excellent. All the information was very interesting, but most notable was their kindness and warmth. They made this experience unforgettable. The driver, Paulo, was highly skilled at navigating those narrow roads with expertise.

Everything was very efficient, both the Lisboa Card and the tickets purchased for the Pena Palace. We had to wait in lines, but they moved quite quickly anyway.

Visit the Batalha Monastery, a display of Manueline architecture, constructed to commemorate Portugal's triumph in the Battle of Aljubarrota in 1385.

Inside the chapel, admire the grand central nave towering at 32.5 meters, supported by eight columns on each side.

Add on a Lisbon Card valid for 24, 48, or 72 hours to visit landmarks like Jerónimos Monastery, Belém Tower, Batalha Monastery, and more!

Easy to purchase the Lisboa Card, even simpler to use. Just tap in on the mode of transport you're using and on you get. It was also good for getting into attractions free, or the Catherdal with discount. Would definitely recommend if you plan on visiting lots of places when in Lisbon.

Batalha Monastery

As you enter the monastery, walk through a beautiful square – Largo do Mosteiro. At the center, there is a large statue of military commander Nuno Alvares Pereira, credited with leading the Portuguese to victory in the Aljubarrota battle.

The entrance to the monastic complex is from the church, which stands tall with an intricate facade, beautiful carvings, and stained-glass windows. Next, royal crypts can be found in the Founder’s Chapel. Don’t forget to look up at its octagonal roof! Make sure to also check out and wash your hands at the Basin, a gorgeous little fountain that forms part of the monument’s hydraulic systems.
