Had a great day in Lisbon first visiting the Sao Jorge Castle and then making our way by tram to the Monastary. Easy with the pre-purchased tickets not to have to queue to buy tickets!

Unless there was a time slot, it was necessary to wait 25 minutes in a queue.
But it's absolutely worth visiting. Everyone who is in Belem should visit it! It's a must for understanding Portugal's history.

We noticed how crowded the tours were, but the time slot we chose (11:30 a.m.–12:00 p.m.) allowed us to get in without waiting.
Despite the construction work outside, the interior of the monastery and the church are still impressive. This was our second visit, and we’re still drawn to this Lisbon landmark and its peaceful atmosphere. Buying tickets in advance on the website is a real plus.

The check-in is organized by time. That made it smooth. The audio tour broken down by area made it easy to jump around. The monastery is breathtaking.

Unfortunately, the priority access to the Jerónimos Monastery didn't work out, since a long line had already formed in front of the monastery and everyone had a Lisboa Card.
I would recommend booking a timed entry slot online.
Using public transportation went really smoothly.

It’s a site worth seeing. A beautiful cloister steeped in history, with the columns showcasing natural artistry (the park in front features various plants that adorn them, with signs explaining where to find them). The refectory is wonderful, with tiles depicting scenes from sacred life.
A bit pricey for what you get (you can see it all in about half an hour, and admission is €20). It’s best to book at least one day in advance.

The monastery's cloister is truly wonderful. I highly recommend going to see it. We arrived half an hour before our scheduled time, which allowed us to avoid a long line.
