Our guided group tour of Herculaneum was fantastic. Roberta, our guide, spoke perfect English, was very knowledgeable and brought this amazing site to life with anecdotes and facts. The site itself was impressive, whilst not as big as Pompei but in my opinion more interesting, with so much preserved: frescos, ornamental decoration, structures, even multiple stories to a building. My one gripe is that the instructions on where to meet the guide included 2 photos (and a dot marking the meeting point) at the main entrance on the road when actually they were waiting for us further in at the ticket barrier (not visible from the road).
    • Discover the Herculaneum Archaeological Park and its best-preserved ruins of the time with stories of ancient Romans.

    • Get faster access and find out about the famous UNESCO World Heritage and the lives of the 4000+ inhabitants site with your English-speaking guide.

    • With your upgraded archeological guide, you can explore the important sections of the ruins, from men’s baths to Samnite House, and the House of Wooden Partition.

    • Learn all about the effects of the earthquake and the tragic Mount Vesuvius eruption in Herculaneum.

    • Fun fact: A unique finding that survived the eruption at Herculaneum was nothing but paper!

    • Skip-the-line access to the Herculaneum

    • Expert English-speaking archeological guide (optional)

    • Headsets (for groups of 10 or more)

    • Visiting the crater of Mount Vesuvius
  • You can cancel these tickets up to 24 hours before the experience begins and get a full refund.

Before going to Italy we hadn't heard of Herculaneum, but got recommended. We were blown away, the guide was amazing, giving lots of facts and information but well timed and funny as well. The artifacts at Herculaneum as fascinating, you really can see how people lived. The skeletons in the arches are so humbling. The preservation is unbelievable A must see for anyone holidaying in Italy. Definetly recommending to my friends and family

Luciano Leone is a fantastic guide. He has a great feel for the group and draws you into his world. He’s a true archaeologist with a passion for his subject. I learned a lot and gained a unique insight into both the lives of the Romans and that of an archaeologist. Please note: the meeting point is at the entrance to Herculaneum, NOT at the top of the hill as shown in the photo.
