It was an absolute perfect day. Staff at rink was kind and we had fun. Iconic NY experience.

Skate across Wollman Rink, one of New York City’s most iconic winter destinations in the heart of Central Park.

Getting started

Head to Wollman Rink’s main entrance inside Central Park, located near 59th Street and 6th Avenue. Show your booking confirmation or ticket at the counter, pick up your skates (rentals included in your ticket), and get ready to hit the ice. Staff members are available to help you with skate fitting and any equipment rentals you might need.

What to expect

Once you step onto the ice, take in the beautiful setting surrounded by Central Park’s trees and the glittering Manhattan skyline. Whether you’re a first-timer or a seasoned skater, Wollman Rink offers a welcoming and lively environment for all ages. You can skate at your own pace, take photos, and even warm up with a cup of hot chocolate from the rink café after your session.

Features

Iconic location: Skate at one of New York’s most famous landmarks, featured in films like Serendipity, Love Story, and Home Alone 2.

Skyline views: Enjoy unmatched views of the Manhattan skyline and Central Park’s winter scenery as you glide around the rink.

Inclusive experience: Wollman Rink welcomes everyone, with skate aids, lessons, and accessible facilities available.

On-site amenities: Take a break with snacks and warm drinks from the rink café, or rent a locker to safely store your belongings while you skate.

What to bring

Dress warmly and comfortably since the air on the ice can get quite chilly, especially on breezy Central Park days.

Pack some cozy essentials like gloves, a hat, and thick socks to stay comfortable while you skate.

Keep your booking confirmation or ticket handy to show at the entrance when you arrive.

What's not allowed

Outside food and drinks aren’t permitted inside, but don’t worry, the rink café has plenty of snacks and warm beverages to enjoy.

Pets aren’t allowed on the ice for safety reasons.

Large bags can’t be brought onto the rink, though lockers are available to store your belongings securely.

Sharp objects, weapons, or any other items that could pose a safety risk are strictly prohibited.

Accessibility

Wollman Rink is wheelchair-accessible.

Those who require extra assistance are welcome to participate in skating sessions with adaptive support when available.

Service animals are permitted throughout the venue.

Additional information

Wollman Rink operates seasonally, typically from late October through mid-March, depending on the weather.

Tickets are valid only for the date and time slot you’ve booked, so it’s best to arrive a little early.

You can rent lockers, skate aids, or even book lessons on-site for an added fee.

If you’re new to skating or visiting with kids, you can rent a skate aid at the rink for extra balance and confidence.

Since the rink is outdoors, schedules may change or sessions may be canceled during bad weather.
