Vatican museum and Cappella Sistina stand at their height of expectations for anyone who have never visited them, but better do this with guide if it's your first time visiting. We didn't had the chance to visit the basilica since it was Wednesday and every Wednesday there is a pop auditorium. Although we just visited the basilica next day on our own, no ticket needed just some queue waiting. Better try it late in the afternoon and before 19.00 nothing to complain about, except the really crowded and touristic vibe you bump on allover the city, but this is inevitable.IInge V

I would definitely book that separately another time. So many impressions, so much seen and heard! We had a very enthusiastic, wonderful guide named Francesca who shared lively stories and answered all our questions. The only unfortunate thing was the huge crowd of tourists, which meant there was no chance to take everything in peacefully in the Sistine Chapel; guards were ordering people to keep moving.RRoy L

We skipped all the long lines and we could tell he knew exactly what to do to get us in and around everyone. The tour did feel a little rushed but I believe that was due to security at the Vatican rather then our tour guide, I know they kept telling us that we could not stop. Everything was very beautiful. Make sure you bring a pen so that you can fill out a postcard at the end and mail it out from the Vatican for your loved ones at home. Definitely recommend a guided tour..JJeannette B
