The show is fantastic—brilliant! It’s the best show I’ve ever seen! The power of the lines, the expression, the tension, the costumes, the music, the engagement with the audience—everything was absolutely jaw-droppingly good! I never thought I would ever cry over Shakespeare, especially since Romeo and Juliet has never been my favorite. But this performance changed everything. I will definitely recommend it to all my family, friends, and students. I absolutely loved it!

Seeing Romeo and Juliet at Shakespeare's Globe is my favorite part of my London trip so far. The cast is perfect and amazing, they and the mise en scène got the crowd so engaged it felt like watching it for the first time.
  • Romeo and Juliet is not your run-of-the-mill adaptation. The Globe's take on Shakespeare's classic swaps the dresses, balconies, and cobbled streets for saloon brawls, cowboy hats, gun-totting adversaries, and the Wild West. A play like no other, this version of the playwright's romantic tragedy is a lot less comedic and a lot more bloody.

  • In the land of Verona, amid bustling saloons and streets, two long-feuding families continue their hateful battle. Proud and firm, neither will relent. Yet when Romeo and Juliet find themselves drawn to one another across enemy lines, the simmering feud erupts into an all out war. Will love prevail, or will it all end in blood?
