Romeo and Juliet is staged at the Harold Pinter Theatre near Leicester Square. Having read the play several years ago, I was familiar with the story. In this interpretation, it adopts most of the original and inserts what-if scenarios relating to the timing of certain actions. This time aspect is reinforced with the audible ticking of a clock and an electronic clock being displayed. I found the acting and the cast's performances enjoyable and believable. Overall, it is worth seeing.

The performances were outstanding, especially Sadie Sink and Noah Jupe in the title roles: vital, impetuous, emotionally intoxicated teenagers, as so adroitly underscored by Robert Ickes' insightfully original direction. Ickes yet again shows us one of the "same old, same old" classics in ways that make us see exhilarating and terrifying new truths therein. This production made me wonder if I had ever actually SEEN "Romeo and Juliet" before; I certainly had never known them as I know them now.

It was the most beautiful performance I have yet seen! I really loved how they restaged this masterpiece of Shakespeare. Each actor brings really something very individual to this piece which makes it even more unique and easy to connect to the story. This performance was deeply inspiring, congratulations on this amazing work!
