GroupVerified bookingJun 20264/5I booked the guided tour for nine people over a month in advance. We arrived right on time, 15 minutes early, at the meeting point. At the entrance, the palace staff started saying that the QR code generated by the app wasn’t valid and that we had to go to the ticket office to get tickets for everyone. I went there, and at the ticket office they denied this claim, saying we had to wait for the guide, who would have all our tickets. I pointed this out again to the staff at the entrance, who, upon realizing they’d given incorrect information, started telling us to move because we couldn’t stay there since the guide hadn’t arrived. At 11:10 a.m., she arrived, apologizing for having mixed up some last names. The palace staff’s organization was terrible—they couldn’t provide basic information about entry procedures and tried to shift the blame onto the visitors, who had followed all the instructions provided by the app to the letter. The guide during the tour was very knowledgeable and engaging in his explanations, making the tour very interesting. Too bad about the start.GGrassi P
CoupleVerified booking2 weeks ago5/5We never would have expected to see such a marvel. The Royal Palace of Caserta is perfectly preserved; the furnishings, paintings, and decorative items are splendid and can be viewed up close. The gardens are beautifully maintained, and the staff are very helpful and kind.CClaudia V

GroupVerified booking2 days ago5/5Our guide, Walter, was truly excellent: both in terms of his empathy with the tour participants and, above all, his expertise. The only drawback—which wasn’t the organization’s fault—was the extreme heat, which obviously prevented us from spending much time in the various areas to explore them in greater depth.SStefano S
GroupVerified bookingJun 20265/5An interesting experience made even better by the expertise and friendliness of our guide, Walter, who gave us a thorough explanation of every historical and architectural aspect of the palace, all spiced up with entertaining details about court life. Highly recommended!
Gear up to explore the grandeur of Europe’s largest palace! Designed by Luigi Vanvitelli in 1774, the Royal Palace of Caserta is a masterpiece of opulence, often compared to Versailles and Royal Palace of Madrid.
Get a taste of royalty
Your journey starts at the Palatine Chapel, with its stunning frescoes. Ascend the grand staircase, with its 116 marble steps and statues that give you a royal welcome. On the upper floor, see the Throne Room, Astrea Room’s celestial motifs, and the Four Seasons Room, where art meets nature. With your guide’s insights, each room reveals stories beyond its beauty.
Conclude at the Kings apartments
End your journey in the opulent apartments of Joachim Murat, Napoleon’s brother-in-law, and former King of Naples. These lavish rooms gives us a glimpse into the royal lifestyle of the past, all while your guide peppers the experience with fun, historical anecdotes. The tour concludes with a stroll through the palace’s vast gardens, a perfect way to relax after your deep dive into history.
