CoupleVerified booking3 weeks ago5/5I really enjoyed this tour with a local archaeologist who had worked in Pompei. Tbh, you would be lost without a guide in this vast city which had remained uncovered for over 1500 years. He showed us the locsl bakery, gymnasium, brothel (yes!!) and many more houses and sights that you wouldn't discover alone without a lot of reading and luck. I'd definitely recommend this tour. Also, ignore the peddlars at the train station.GGianluigi Z
CoupleVerified booking2 weeks ago5/5Overall, it was a visit full of surprises. Special thanks to the tour guide who skillfully led us on a historical journey to discover not only the archaeological site but also the stories and anecdotes of Pompeii’s citizens and the history of that city, bringing to life—with great eloquence—the moments the Pompeians experienced during the days of the eruption. The guided tour is highly recommended.AAna M
CoupleVerified bookingJul 20265/5I loved the guide—he was friendly, witty, and playful, and he explained everything really well in perfect Spanish. My boyfriend and I loved him; plus, he teased us about being Andalusians, haha—we really liked him. He told us a ton of facts and fun trivia—I wish the tour had been longer because the two hours flew by; it was really entertaining and interesting.JJorge S
CoupleVerified booking2 weeks ago4/5What we liked most about the tour was that, even though it only covers one area of Pompeii, it gives you a perfect understanding of how the city functioned back then; you get to go inside several houses as well as the thermal baths... Overall, I’d recommend it—visiting Pompeii without a guide might mean you don’t learn anything and just see the ruins without any context.BBeatriz B
CoupleVerified booking6 days ago5/5Diego, the tour guide and archaeologist, explained everything so well that you can really picture what Pompeii was like. It was really, really good—I highly recommend the tour, because going without a guide just isn't the same. Thank you so much!
