Here you meet your expert archaeologist or language guide, in a group of up to 20 people. After a brief introduction to the site and its history, your 2-hour guided tour of Herculaneum begins.

This guided tour focuses on the ancient Roman town of Herculaneum, preserved under volcanic material from the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 CE.

Join a small group of up to 20 people or a standard group of up to 25 people, depending on your chosen option, with headsets provided for groups over 10 people so you can clearly hear the guide’s commentary.

Follow a 2-hour route through key areas of the site as your guide highlights architectural details, everyday objects, and building layouts that reveal how people lived in this coastal town.
