Luciano Leone is a fantastic guide. He has a great feel for the group and draws you into his world. He’s a true archaeologist with a passion for his subject. I learned a lot and gained a unique insight into both the lives of the Romans and that of an archaeologist. Please note: the meeting point is at the entrance to Herculaneum, NOT at the top of the hill as shown in the photo.
    • Skip the ticket queue and walk straight into one of the best-preserved Roman cities in the world, guided by a licensed archaeologist.

    • Unlike Pompeii, Herculaneum was buried under a pyroclastic surge so swift it preserved wooden furniture, food, and carbonized remains that paint a startlingly complete picture of Roman daily life.

    • Your archaeologist guide leads you through the Samnite House, Forum Baths, Temple of the Augustales, and the House of Neptune and Amphitrite, with rich context at every stop.

    • Visit the waterfront boathouses, where the skeletal remains of over 300 residents who fled toward the sea were discovered — one of the most emotionally charged spaces in all of archaeology.

    • Groups are capped at 20 guests, keeping the experience intimate and giving you real room to ask questions, slow down, and absorb what you're seeing.

    • Access to Archaeological Park of Herculaneum with priority entry

    • 2-hour guided tour of Herculaneum

    • Expert English, Spanish, French, German, or Italian-speaking archaeologist guide (as per option selected)

    • Private tour with an archaeologist guide (as per option selected)

    • Transfers

We visited Herculaneum with Sylvia, a guide, archaeologist, and professor at the University of Naples. This dynamic young woman has a great sense of humor and knows how to draw parallels between history and current discoveries. Fascinating!

The tour of Herculaneum was extraordinary. Our guide spoke English, but we were able to follow the entire tour without any trouble. She was very attentive to the group and provided us with all kinds of explanations. An unforgettable tour!

Giancarlo is an excellent guide; he explained each of the places we visited in great detail, which was essential for us to get a general overview of the city and its residents in a short amount of time.
