Overall I think the production was great, but if you're going because of who is playing Romeo & Juliet - the performances are a let down. There are definitely standouts, but the Americans in the production are not rising to meet the language and so it seems flat. The director has crafted a beautiful and brilliant production.

Seeing Romeo and Juliet at Shakespeare's Globe is my favorite part of my London trip so far. The cast is perfect and amazing, they and the mise en scène got the crowd so engaged it felt like watching it for the first time.
