The Royal Palace of Madrid is truly extraordinary. The part open to the public is a sight to behold. In addition to the Palace, you can also visit the Royal Armory, where you can see a collection of countless suits of armor belonging to the various kings who have lived there. The admission fee was well worth it. After the tour, there’s also a section of the gardens you can explore, which I highly recommend. As for the Almudena Cathedral, which is right across the street, I only saw it from the outside—I just don’t understand why you’d pay €8 to enter a Christian church. But some people do pay.

We thought it was fantastic. We hadn't expected much from it. It's a sight we wanted to see, but guide Benny narrated it so engagingly and wittily that it turned into an amazing trip. His English was also exceptionally good and easy to hear, since we were provided with audio headsets.

How easy it was to get in. The audio guide could be improved; it goes too fast in some areas and needs more instructions. It does help you walk through the museum and lets you delve deeper into the origin of the paintings.

It's easy, quick, and safe to visit; the zoo is very large and has a wide variety of animals; the sea lion show is delightful; and the aquarium is a spectacle in its own right—simply spectacular.
