If you're choosing a tour, I highly recommend the Grand Central Terminal + SUMMIT Vanderbilt. My guide, Lynda, was fantastic—she showed hidden corners of Grand Central and shared stories about its history and architecture. You don't just see the station; you truly feel its unique atmosphere, and you'll want to come back to explore even more on your own. Combining the Grand Central tour with SUMMIT One Vanderbilt feels like traveling through two different eras in just two hours—from the timeless elegance of this historic landmark to the stunning modern architecture and breathtaking views of NY. It is definitely an interesting thing to do and a lot of fun. But it's also very commercial and very about trying to sell you photo packages and souvenirs. The elevator lineup is very cool, and once you get to the top, it is absolutely amazing. The floor and mirrors will blow your mind, the view is spectacular. We went on a day where there was a lot of Hays in the air from the smoke from Canada so we could not see as much as we would've liked to, but the views are amazing. It was fairly crowded, but very manageable. We walked around what did the other floors, played with the balloons. All in all to me it's like going to the edge, but it's indoors, plus you get a 360° view. The reason I rated four stars is, I think it's very expensive for what you get, and it's way too commercial with the photos and all the gift shops that you walk-through. But when it's a hot day and you don't wanna walk around outside, it's a very cool thing to do.

The three floors experience was mesmerizing and the view of the city at 8.30 PM was perfect. Visiting for the first time with family members and friends made it very special. There was no long wait time for entry. The photo opp at the edge was very scary for me so don't look down.

Everything right from the lift to the view to the different activities including the ball room it was breathtaking at night. Only the entry queue was very long and too many unnecessary photograph before entry making the entry time go up

There is no provision for the storage of personal items. Large bags, backpacks, and luggage are not permitted. All bags and containers are subject to a security check.

Guests are welcome to take photos with personal, handheld devices only. Professional photography equipment cannot be carried inside.

Children under the age of 16 must always be accompanied by an adult throughout the experience.

Make sure to bring your sunglasses. The reflective materials used throughout the space create a bright environment during the day.

Please dress appropriately due to the unique nature of the space and to avoid unwanted exposure to glass and mirrored floors. Pants, shorts, or tights are recommended, as are flat shoes.

Wear comfortable shoes. Stiletto heels, steel-toe boots, sports cleats, and other footwear that can damage flooring are not permitted.
