Fun experience! My daughter and I both are very scared of heights, but we were able to power through and get a great picture in the glass picture area. The area where you step out in it has a glass bottom top and sides. The staff was very nice. I didn't realize it, but as soon as I stepped out in the glass, I grabbed his arm for stability. He did not seem alarmed at all. I asked him if it was OK if I held onto him and he just chuckled and said of course. I wish I could remember his name. He was very kind. It was a fun experience.

, but we still had plenty of opportunities to enjoy the views and take our time. I would recommend going around sunset if you can because watching the city change from daytime into nighttime makes the experience even better. Overall, it was a really fun thing to do in NYC and I would definitely recommend SUMMIT One Vanderbilt to anyone looking for something different to do in the city

What’s not allowed

Large bags and luggage: There is no provision for the storage of personal items, so large bags, backpacks, and luggage are not permitted.

Bag checks: All bags and containers are subject to a security check at the entrance.

Professional cameras: Guests are welcome to take photos with personal handheld devices only, and professional photography equipment cannot be carried inside.

Damage-causing footwear: Stiletto heels, steel-toe boots, sports cleats, and similar footwear that can damage flooring are not permitted.

Additional information

Child supervision: Children under the age of 16 must always be accompanied by an adult throughout the experience.

Brightness inside: Make sure to bring your sunglasses, as the reflective materials used throughout the space create a bright environment during the day.

Dress code: Please dress appropriately to avoid unwanted exposure on glass and mirrored floors; pants, shorts, or tights and flat shoes are recommended.
