CoupleVerified bookingLast week5/5Stonehenge was an inspirational and unique moment in our holiday - a sight not to be missed if the opportunity arises. Timed tickets through Headout allowed early attendance when there were minimal crowds, for both best photos and crowd management along with carpark access, all of which became far busier by the time we left, surely diminishing the experience.AAntje K

CoupleVerified booking3 weeks ago3/5Yes, Stonehenge is a very beautiful and enchanting place, but the facilities are below average—I’d even say the service is poor. We went on a very hot day in London; it was 40 degrees outside, and the water in the restrooms was 50 degrees. In a country where it rains this much, the parking lot could at least have been covered in some simple way, which would have given us a chance to shelter from the sun (When we got back to the car, it was 80 degrees inside.) The biggest issue, however, was that the shuttle buses had only one vent, so the interiors were very hot and stuffy.DDagmar K

GroupVerified bookingMay 20264/5La visita è stata molto bella e l'audio guida è comoda, puoi decidere che punti approfondire e cosa eventualmente saltare. Forse aggiornerei l'app perché in alcuni telefoni non si poteva bloccare il telefono o uscire dall'app per fare le foto perché si bloccava e bisogna rientrare nel punto lasciato.

Getting started
Arrive at the Stonehenge visitor center ahead of your selected time slot. After a quick security check, you can proceed toward the monument via shuttle or walking path.
What to expect
Stonehenge
Watch the stone circle slowly come into view across open grasslands as you approach. Standing for thousands of years, these massive stones continue to raise questions about how and why they were built.

-
Walk around the stone circle: Follow the designated pathways that circle the monument, offering clear views of the towering sarsen stones and smaller bluestones from different angles.
-
Take in the scale and setting: See how the stones rise from the surrounding plains, with uninterrupted views that highlight their height, spacing, and careful arrangement within the landscape.
-
Learn as you explore: Use the available audio guide to understand theories behind the monument’s construction, its purpose, and the people who built it thousands of years ago.
-
Visitor center exhibits: Head back to the visitor center to see archaeological finds like tools, pottery, and remains that help piece together the story of the site.
-
Upgrade your experience: Select a full-day tour covering Stonehenge, Lacock, and Bath, a half-day coach tour from London, or a train transfer package including Salisbury Cathedral.
