The entire castle and the fortress walls are amazing and well worth a visit.
The visual presentation on the first floor was especially beautiful and fascinating. We’ve never seen anything like it, and we travel all over the world.

It was a wonderful trip. We arrived in Carcassonne and stayed at a hotel called Le Florentine, which is very close to the entrance to the walled city—you can even see the castle from there. Inside the city, the streets are charming, and there are plenty of places to eat and buy souvenirs. I 100% recommend buying tickets to the castle, since it’s the heart of the city and it’s totally worth learning about its history and seeing what it’s like inside.

Carcassonne is a very beautiful place, and the old town has a spectacular castle. The only downside is the prices at the restaurants and cafes in that more traditional part of town.

The place makes an impression the moment you see it from a distance. Parking is easy and not too expensive. The grounds are very well maintained, clean, and full of shops where you can buy things and eat. The tour was very well organized, with signs and directions everywhere. I was delighted.
