I knew that there was a Globe Theatre, but very vew details about it, and its role in the society of the Tudors. The guide was very good. I also learned about the role of Sam Wannamaker in the construction of the current building. There was a rehearsal of Mother Courage going on, It it was fascinating too. I would recommend this tour to anyone who is interested in Shakespeare, the Elizabethan era, and theatre in general. It's unfortunate that photographs aren't allowed in the theatre itsself, I understood the reason.

There was so much I didn't know about the history of the globe, and I appreciated hearing about the first two iterations of the theater. I also found it very cool to be able to watch the sets being built while we learned about the history.
