We absolutely loved our tour of the Globe Theatre. Our guide was amazing - so many facts at his fingertips - and funny, too! It was great to learn about the original two Globe theatres, the history surrounding each, and the labor of love that became the recreated Globe of today. The guided tour was the highlight, but the exhibits were outstanding also - full of historical information, behind-the-scenes looks at modern interpretations of the plays, costumes from Globe performances, and so much more. Highly recommend!

Our guide was witty and very knowledgeable - great idea to have the headphones as there were a lot of school groups so it would have been difficult to hear everything. Only hiccup - would have liked a little more time for photo opportunities.

I knew that there was a Globe Theatre, but very vew details about it, and its role in the society of the Tudors. The guide was very good. I also learned about the role of Sam Wannamaker in the construction of the current building. There was a rehearsal of Mother Courage going on, It it was fascinating too. I would recommend this tour to anyone who is interested in Shakespeare, the Elizabethan era, and theatre in general. It's unfortunate that photographs aren't allowed in the theatre itsself, I understood the reason.
