Anyone who thinks you only need to see Pompeii once in a lifetime is sorely mistaken! We’ve been here several times now, and the archaeological site manages to completely captivate us anew every single time. It’s simply magical: with every visit, you discover new details, freshly uncovered excavations, or hidden corners you’d overlooked before. History comes alive here and feels more tangible than almost anywhere else in the world. You truly feel like you’re on a journey back in time to ancient Rome. An extremely important tip for all visitors: Don’t underestimate the size of the site! This time, we were on our feet for a good six hours—and that’s absolutely necessary if you want to see the highlights at a reasonably relaxed pace. For such a long visit, very good, sturdy footwear (preferably broken-in sneakers or hiking boots) is an absolute must! The ancient cobblestones are uneven and tough on your feet. For us, Pompeii remains an absolute highlight in Italy. We’ll definitely be back next time! Highly recommended!

A truly memorable experience. The combo ticket for Pompeii and Herculaneum lets you explore two unique archaeological sites—each with its own distinct atmosphere—in a single day. Herculaneum really impressed me with the state of preservation of the houses, frescoes, mosaics, and interiors: walking through those rooms truly gives you the feeling of stepping into the daily life of the ancient city. The view with Mount Vesuvius in the background makes it all even more evocative. Pompeii is larger and more spectacular, while Herculaneum is more intimate, intense, and surprising in its details. I recommend starting early, bringing water, and taking the time to explore every corner thoroughly. A beautiful, exciting cultural experience that I highly recommend.

We had a wonderful time at Pompeii. Being a far way from home in the beatiful region of Naples it was a must to see the historical cornerstone that is the antique city of Pompeii. The ruins, the recorvered carcasses and the overlooking view of Vesuvio was, to say the least, breathtaking and thought-enducing. I cannot recommend you enough visiting this place of history. Especially with the convenience of e-tickets provided by Headout. Quick, easy, well priced and with clear communication tickets bought with Headout made our experince hassle-free. Personally I will be recommending Headout to my colleagues and family. Ciao 🇮🇹

The added value of a guided tour highlighting the main attractions. As an archaeologist, Alesandra was naturally well-versed in the excavation, but above all, her lively storytelling brought the history of roughly 2,000 years ago to life. It was as if you had been transported back in time and were part of daily life in Pompeii. I also found the tour to be exceptionally well-organized. That’s a real plus with such large crowds. I highly recommend that everyone visit Pompeii with a guide.

We booked an admission ticket with an audio guide for the Pompeii ruins. While picking up our tickets on site, we were offered a tour from Pompeii to the Amalfi Coast, and everything went smoothly. In two days, we managed to see the ruins, and the next day we visited Sorrento and Positano. From Positano to Amalfi by boat... what can I say—two days well spent! Thanks for everything

The experience was great; it was very easy to find the meeting point, where the staff spoke fluent Italian, Spanish, English, and probably other languages as well. They offered a wide selection of guides, books, and maps—the service was excellent. Getting into Pompeii was super easy—no lines or waiting. The app’s audio guide is very good and simple to use. Thank you very much

I thought it was a ticket, I took the train, couldn't enter Pompeii at the main entrance. Had to find someone who spoke English, they explained I had to go on a 20 minute walk to the city center (there's no bus) to change my voucher for a ticket at a random tiny travel agenc. I finally got there and immediately some woman showed me a map of Pompeii and how to use it, then when I tried to get the map she said I had to buy some stupid book from her or I couldn't have the map. So of course I had to buy the book. Also the tickets were way more online than if I had just bought them in person. I still got into Pompeii eventually but it took so long that my girlfriend and I missed Herculaneum entirely and we'd already bought the online tickets for those and couldn't get a refund.

I liked getting tickets in advance but it was utterly not nesassary as the ticket lines were short at the venue. It gave us a peace of mind for quite an elevated price. With the audio guide we paid $64 for two tickets that really cost $40.00 The guide was useless. The points were not many and the descriptions were super-short. We ended up going back and purchasing audio guides from the venue. More languages and much more interesting and extensive recordings So it is my first time either Headout and might be the last as well...
