We really enjoyed our single day in the chaotic, fascinating city of Naples. The undisputed highlight was the National Archaeological Museum, which houses stunning artifacts from Pompeii and Herculaneum alongside ancient Egyptian antiquities like mummies. As for the hop-on, hop-off tour, we didn't give ourselves enough time—you need at least two hours just to complete the loop without getting off.

We had not realised that the museum was full of artefacts from Pompeii. So much to see and appreciate - beautiful statue after beautiful statue and amazing surgical instruments, pots and glassware. Absolutely amazing. Definitely a must if you have been to Pompeii and want to bring it to life.

Well it was very quick and easy getting into the Museum with the skip-the-line tickets and the museum itself was fascinating + well worth a visit; the only challenge was trying to find / figure out where the toilet was!

We were able to skip the line which left us more time to explore. We had visited Pompeii and Herculaneum the day before. Seeing the Pompeii and Herculaneum artifacts gave us a full picture of life there!

Everything about this museum was amazing. Loved seeing history in every room I walked. The garden was especially lovely on a warm day. Would highly recommend one of the highlights of our trip.

Wow. I've seen many Roman museum collections, but this museum's collection is on a whole other level. Breathtaking! And only visit the scale model of Pompeii on the second floor after visiting the ruins and the museum. That room is the perfect conclusion to a Roman experience.
