The MANN has so many interesting items in their collections especially those related to Pompeii and Herculaneum. The objects were very easy to view with placards in both Italian and English explaining the history behind the item. The size of some of the statuary was immense and makes you wonder how they were sculpted. Imagine the delight of the archeologists discovering piece after piece of ancient history.

The hop-on, hop-off bus tour is the perfect way to get a feel for Naples without having to drive yourself or walk. You just get driven around. Sometimes that’s nice, too. The buses arrive on time at all stops, and the staff are very friendly. During the ride, you can plug your own headphones into the audio guide using a jack plug. Otherwise, headphones are provided on board. You should download the recommended Sightseeing Experience app in advance, which provides information on the route map, stops, departure times, and your current location. That way, you’ll always know where you are. The signage at the stops is actually rather sparse. The red route takes you through the city center in 40 minutes. The blue route takes you along the coast for 70 minutes and offers a fantastic view of the Bay of Naples. Be sure to take both routes!

It was very nice, only comment I want to highlight : please put a more evident sign on the stops and particularly the one for those coming from the train station, which was an issue for us to find and given the heat it turned into a nightmare for us. The map you provide is approximate and you should but EVIDENT SIGNS from the station up to the stop. the call center I contacted for help addresses to the map, which is very bulky. they should be giving a street with a street number. This was a painful start for us but The rest of the tour was very nice and it well enough compensated the initial disappointment. The tour is so nice and touched the core attraction and points of the city.

I visited Pompeii and Herculaneum as part of a tour and delayed my return flight to give me a day in Naples. Prior to the holiday, I bought from Headout a retun bus ticket from the airport and a timed entrance to the Naples Archeological Museum. I was quite anxious but everything ran really smoothly. I arrived early at the museum thinking I would need to wait but was taken through past the queue (not lengthy but nice not to join). The museum is in a fabulous building (Sundial Hall) and the exhibits are exquisit. The cameo Farnese bowl and Blue Vase are exceptionally beautiful. The description behind the Memento Mori mosaic, is reflective and is to encourage us to live life to the full. I fully recommend a visit.

We really enjoyed our Hop-on Hop off tour of Naples Italy! We got a chance to see most of the important landmarks, without having to deal with chaotic car/scooter/motorcycle drivers there. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We have used these buses ali over Europe and have never been disappointed. We would highly recommend taking these tours!

The tour with Headout was great, but the museum visit was a bit disappointing. The Alexander Mosaic is currently undergoing restoration and wasn't on display, and the Farnese Bull statue was also removed from the tour. Everything else was fine.
