The room was buzzing before the show even started. When it did, we were immediately capitavated and enthralled. The actors' were all amazing and Catherine Tate is just physical comedy genius.

I was not expecting a comedy about Mary Lincoln having visted the Lincoln Museum in Springlield, Illinois and being haunted by the final room called the Hall of Whispers. As one walked through there were recorded whispering voices showing the disdain the high society of Washington DC had for Mary. Escola's play is clever and the magnificent cast do it justice. Every scene was riveting. So glad I saw it. I thoroughly recommend it.

Being in London on holiday, we like to look for a great theatre experience. This certainly was it! You could have set your watch to Mason Alexander Park for perfect timing throughout the performance! The entire cast was terrific. We had an extremely entertaining time. Brava!

The experience started when I walked into the theatre. The music that was playing set the tone. It was fun, gay and fantastic. I felt safe and at home as a queer person. The show was spectacular. Mason Park Alexander brought the house down.

Mason Alexander Park was a fabulous Mary and gave great energy even on a random Tuesday night performance. The rest of the cast was very strong as well and the theater was lovely

“Oh, Mary!” is the sort of theatrical chaos the British do best—sharp, cheeky, and gloriously self-aware. The atmosphere was buzzing from the outset, with the audience hanging onto every line as if in on a particularly clever inside joke. The writing is delightfully irreverent, peppered with wit that lands effortlessly, while the performances are delivered with impeccable timing and just the right amount of theatrical flair. What makes it truly memorable is how it balances absurd humour with a surprising touch of depth. The lead, in particular, commands the stage with a marvellous mix of mischief and vulnerability, making even the most outrageous moments feel oddly sincere. It’s bold, brilliantly executed, and leaves you grinning long after the curtain falls.
    • A bold, twisted comedy that reimagines Mary Todd Lincoln as a cabaret-obsessed, self-destructive diva in the days before her husband Abraham Lincoln's assassination.

    • The original Broadway smash won Tonys for Best Actor (Cole Escola) and Best Direction (Sam Pinkleton), and broke box-office records.

    • Starring Mason Alexander Park as Mary, with acclaimed direction by Sam Pinkleton, this irreverent revival promises a fresh, haunting edge.

    • Themes of loss, yearning, addiction, and identity collide in razor-sharp satire, expect campy staging, sharp wit, and theatrical jolts. Book your Oh, Mary! London tickets now!

    The story

In the bleak days before April 1865, Mary Todd Lincoln, bereft, ignored, haunted by defeat, is unraveling. Trapped in a marriage with a closeted president, she oscillates between sipping spirits and plotting cabaret stardom as her inner pain and resentment bubble over. Through the lens of absurdity and scathing humor, Oh, Mary! reveals a woman scorned and forgotten, until she claws back her story. What lengths will she go to reclaim her voice?
