Our guide, Giovanni, was outstanding! He has an excellent knowledge of the Herculaneum site, of the Vesuvius eruption and how it affected Pompeii and Herculaneum, and particularly of the way the Romans lived at the time. He spoke clearly and made the tour very interesting, answering questions knowledgeably. He also looked after the group very well, ensuring everyone could hear clearly, and that we all walked through the site safely. It was a fascinating tour, made even more enjoyable by Giovanni's expertise. He is one of the very best guides we have experienced. I cannot recommend him more highly.

The way to see Herculaneum. It's a small site when compared to Pompeii so you can spend more time in each building and having an archaeologist to tell the story of the site and point out things easily missed was invaluable. Our guide was excellent, very knowledgeable and answered every question posed. The head sets issued were fantastic, allowing you to hear the guide without having to be right next to him.

Had an extremely knowledgeable guide who spoke good English and communicated well with all the party. The headsets were easy to use and efficient. Our guide started by explaining the difference between Pompei and Herculaneum and how those effected what had been found at the two sites. The museum was fascinating and the depth of the excavation is unbelievable.

The guide had wery good knowledge about everything in the archeologic site. He was egaging and could vivedly discribe daily living on the site, historic contekst, the disaster , upper class , middel class snd the slaves i The society when before the disaster. Good storyteller, engaging person with good knowledge.

Ww were late to start the tour due to train problems, but the rep at the gate radioed to find out where we could meet Francesco on the site. He was most welcoming and quickly provided a recap for the late joiners. Throughout he was knowledgeable and entertaining.

Really knowledgeable guide around heraculum The tour was delayed start by two hours which was slightly inconvenient but couldn't be helped and we still enjoyed the guides enthusiasm and sheer knowledge of the guide:)
