I really liked it. It was absolutely worth seeing. The lighting makes the place feel magical and atmospheric without ruining the historical character of the site. The lights are tasteful and subtle, which somehow makes it even more impressive. It’s huge, stunning, and feels like much more than just a water reservoir. The name “Basilica Cistern” suddenly makes perfect sense once you’re inside. When we arrived, there was a very long queue, but we bought the tickets online with the skip-the-line option and everything went smoothly. In less than 5 minutes, we were already inside, which honestly saved us from aging another decade in the tourist line.

Basilica Cistern via Headout was a game-changer. While the queues outside looked daunting, I was able to breeze through and spend more time soaking in the mystical atmosphere of the sunken palace. It’s easily one of the most breathtaking spots in Istanbul. Headout made the entire process seamless, helping me tick off a major bucket list item without the stress of waiting.

This was a must! We saw the line outside and had FOMO, looked it up online and saw that you could buy tickets that skipped the queue and had an audio guide you could use for free( just make sure u bring your own headphones) From the cool wet air to the magnificent architecture your senses were treated to an underground gem.

Fatal , la peor experiencia de mi vida , me han estafado por todos lados , es más he puesto una denuncia ya que no me devuelven el dinero , me contestan con que me realizan el reembolso en 3-5 días y y han pasado 14 días laborables, es una vergüenza 🤬

Easy to use skip the line passes. Was able to see both attractions. The cistern is very impressive. Ticket passage to both venues went without a hitch, once you have figured out the correct line to be in, i.e. the skip the line electronic tickets.

Trying to find the person to get the tickets and adio guide was impossible to fnd , you know how many people are just hanging around the same place. I had to just buy 3 tickect to get in before the crowds started. The people at the Basilica Cistern pointed us to the man with the tickets , without there help we would not have seen him. the people with the tickets neen a sign to see not just standing around!~!~++ This one cost me money.. The Acropolis worked out fine.

Les billets coupe file ne sont pas nécessaires si vous arrivez tôt le matin. Il y a des qr codes gratuits sur la plupart des lieux pour les audio guides.

The Cistern stays cool and damp year-round, with slippery floors. Wear warm clothes and shoes with a good grip to prevent yourself from slipping.

Don’t leave without seeing the Medusa heads. They’re tucked away at the far end and worth viewing from every angle!
