I enjoyed the tour and the explanations offered by Hal, our guide. They were very informative and made the entire experience worth the time and money. I appreciate the guide for making the tour more interesting by sharing real life experiences from the life of the sultans, the harem and how all the Topkapi palace life contributed to lifting the ottoman elite. This kind of things you can't find in books. We visited as a family, with our daughters 9 and 6 years old, and although we had to translate for them, they were captivated and stayed interested the entire time we had Hal guiding us. This was a very good experience and I recommend to anyone interested to get real insights while visiting the Topkapi palace.

Estremamente deluso. La guida mi ha assicurato che avrei ricevuto un rimborso per il biglietto del bambino che ho pagato come adulto per l'ingresso al palazzo Topkapi, ho contatto il servizio clienti, ma è stato negato da Headout! Quello che hanno motivato non è stato spiegato in fase di prenotazione e lo ritengo una grande presa in giro. Le 4 stelle non le ho potute modificare altrimenti avrei dato zero!

Unsere Tourguide Buse hatte außerordentlich viel Wissen mit uns zu teilen. Und das hat sie mit solch einer Begeisterung gemacht, die sehr ansteckend war. Diese Tour ist sehr empfehlenswert, besonders der Besuch im Harem, der auf jeden Fall nicht ausgelassen werden sollte.

Despite the fact that the Dsign cafe now has a new name we found our guide. He was very knowledgeable and entry to all parts of palace was smoothly done. We loved the palace and enjoyed all the historical information. Thank you and well done.

The tour was well organized and very informative. We should have stayed much longer to enjoy the site and walk through all of the exhibits, but the kids and grandparents got tired. Still would highly recommended for all ages.

Meet your host in front of the Fountain of Sultan Ahmed III, where you’ll be welcomed and guided through the entry process. While all visitors must pass through the mandatory security screening, your host will help coordinate the entry smoothly and lead you inside once checks are complete.

Visit the Holy Relics Chamber to see revered objects tied to major historical and religious figures, offering a deeper cultural and spiritual dimension to your visit.

Inside the Harem

Explore the private world of the palace as you walk through the Harem, including the Queen Mother’s quarters, the Sultan’s apartments, ceremonial baths, and rooms that reveal the inner workings of court life behind closed doors.

Additional information

You skip the ticket lines but you cannot skip the security check. The security check can take up to 60 minutes during peak seasons.

Children will be asked to present their valid passports at the entrance of the museums in order to validate their age.

This attraction cannot be accessed directly by presenting the digital Pass at the museum. You need to enter with the tour guide.

All participants are required to use a headset during the guided tour, so a valid ID must be provided as a deposit and will be returned once the tour has ended.

You are advised to arrive 15 minutes before the tour start time.
