The tour guide/driver had a way of telling many amusing little anecdotes about the city’s various buildings and other landmarks. It was entertaining and enjoyable. However, stop 14 shouldn’t be labeled as the Schanzenviertel. I got off there and had to walk about 1.2 kilometers through the trade fair grounds just to reach the Schanzenviertel. I thought that was too far.

Amazing tour! Goes around the major landmarks in Hamburg and the guide recording explains everything in detail also giving fun facts about the city and its inhabitants. For example, Helmut Schmidt's smoking habits (the only photo taken of him when he was not holding a cigarette was that taken when he was born!), the multiculturalism of Hamburg, how the city changed over the years, where people normally gather on weekends and how their habits change between summer and winter are all highlighted. Do recommend!!!

Hop-on, hop-off buses are great in any city. You get to see a lot and can hop on and off as often as you like. I highly recommend it! Hamburg is a wonderful city and always worth a visit.
