This walking tour in Venice was the absolute highlight of my vacation in Venice. We walked through the less touristy parts of the city and was taken through inside alleys - quiet and authentic. I especially liked area around Campo Santa Margarita which has a huge local population going about their daily lives. Our guide, Marco was highly knowledgeable with an undertone of humour, which kept us in high spirts throughout the 2 hour long walk. He even showed us gelato spots that are not on the tourist radar and I must say, they were so much tastier than the ones on St Mark's Square! I'd recommend wearing walking shoes because there's a lot to walk and a couple of steep bridges to go about.
    • Feel every bit of a royal at Hampton Court Palace, don a Tudor cloak, visit the king's apartments, and explore the sprawling gardens.

    • Navigate your way through the world’s oldest maze at Hampton Court Gardens, and marvel at the largest grapevine in the world.

    • Discover the Tower of London, a UNESCO site, and delve into British monarchy history. Explore the White Tower and admire the Royal Armouries' collection.

    • Witness the British crown's grandeur in the Crown Jewels display, adorned with thousands of gems including the extravagant Imperial State Crown.

    • Fun fact: It is said that the ghost of Anne Boleyn, who was beheaded at the Tower is said to haunt the Chapel of St Peter ad Vincula.

The first thing that really impressed us was how quickly we were able to get in, despite the large crowd. The entire setting is very charming and well-maintained. The jewelry is wonderful. It takes at least two hours to explore the place at a leisurely pace. In the garden, we also saw crows and police officers. I recommend a visit to everyone. A wonderful experience.

Getting in was super fast—no line—and I was able to go in 10 minutes early. The audio guide was fantastic, the instructions were clear, and I learned a lot. The highlight was, of course, the Crown Jewels—I’ve never seen anything like them before. All in all, I spent 2 hours and 50 minutes there, and I thought it was great!

The fact that I went with my family and, being all adults, every podcast, every reading, every pictured, generated conversations that enriched the visit. I really recommend the visit early so there IS time for the whole tour to be completed.
