We had an absolutely fantastic guided tour of the Colosseum, Palatine Hill, and the Roman Forum! It was truly an unforgettable experience. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about the history of Ancient Rome. They brought everything to life and made the tour interesting and enjoyable from beginning to end. Walking through the Colosseum and imagining what life was like thousands of years ago was amazing. Palatine Hill was beautiful, with incredible views, and the Roman Forum was simply fascinating. Having a guide to explain the history and stories behind everything made such a big difference. We learned so much and thoroughly enjoyed every moment. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Rome. A wonderful experience and definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Italy! Thank you for making our visit to Rome so special!

The Colosseum is a must-see if you’re visiting Rome; the audio guides, which are always included with every Headout ticket, are very helpful. Headout is very efficient—it sends messages to remind you where to go on the day of your reservation and what steps to take to enter the site. If you’re visiting the Imperial Forums during the hot summer months, a parasol is highly recommended.

An incredibly comprehensive ticket. The Colosseum is spectacular, but the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill really surprised us; we spent nearly 6 hours doing both activities. Just a heads up: if you want to see everything in detail, you'll need to buy the upgraded experience so you don't miss anything.

Very friendly assistance by the staff at the Mamertine Prison who gave us our tickets for the Colosseum and the Forum. You can arrive 2 hours before your entry time to the Colosseum, which gives you time to do the Forum. Very good experience.

We were so disappointed when the official 18€ Colosseum tickets sold out, but Headout saved our trip! Once inside, my mind was blown. Entry to the Colosseum was quick and smooth. Despite the large crowds, it was always possible to find a place to sit or take photos. There are several spots where you can refill your water bottles, which is quite important in hot weather.

The view is absolute amazing, this ticket is far from enough to enjoy all the wonderful architects from the ancient roman empires. You can skip the line with the ticket which is very time saving. Highly recommend

Additional information

If your access includes Mamertine Prison, your visit must begin there and you must arrive at least 1 hour before your Colosseum time slot to collect your entry ticket.

Timed access applies to the Colosseum only; Forum and Palatine Hill can be visited anytime within 24 hours but each entrance may be used only once.

Note that there are 2 entrances: one for the Colosseum, and another for the Roman Forum & Palatine Hill (combined). You may enter each entrance ONLY ONCE and not re-enter.

The security check can take 30 mins or more. To make the process quicker, please insert any object (including mobile phone) in the bag/backpack or in the tray to be included in the X-ray.

Each site has different opening hours, so check in advance. Plan around 2–3 hours for the Colosseum, 1–1.5 hours each for Palatine Hill and the Roman Forum, and 30–45 minutes for Mamertine Prison.
