The question was how public transportation works with this card, so 5 stars. I haven't been able to set up the discounts yet, but in my experience, it's a bit of a hassle. I'll try again today. We spent three days in Vienna, and the Vienna Pass was a great choice! It made it so easy to use the hop-on, hop-off buses, which run every 20 minutes from strategically located stops. Admission to almost all attractions is included in the Vienna Pass. St. Stephen’s Cathedral isn’t included, but it was so crowded that we only toured the cathedral’s ship, without a guided tour of the catacombs...etc... Thanks to the Vienna Pass, we got in very quickly at every attraction. Over the three days, we each saved around 90 euros. It was definitely worth it.

In the end, it was nice to have unlimited access to public transportation. We didn't take the hop-on, hop-off bus tour. Partly because we thought it was expensive despite the discount, and partly because we didn't really need it. We did find the discounts on other attractions with the Vienna Card to be rather meager.

The Welcome Card does exactly what it's supposed to do. It gives you access to all public transportation. We didn't use any of the other add-on options because we didn't need them.
