The centenary celebration has been one of the most beautiful and versatile ballet performances that we have ever seen (and we have experience of Bolshoy and Kirov Theatres). It has been definitely a milestone in the history of Covent Garden theatre, as the selection of ballet pieces reflected the development of the Royal ballet. We liked the concluding piece with all the students of the Royal Ballet school. It is unforgettably brilliant.

A wonderful musical with extraordinary actors. The music is captivating. The theater is a gem. We saw the show for the second time, and for anyone seeing it for the first time, I recommend the orchestra seats because from the balcony you have to lean forward to see some scenes.

The story

MAMMA MIA! is a light-hearted yet emotional story of a girl, Sophie, and her quest to find her father. As her mother, Donna, an independent hotelier in the Greek Islands, prepares for her wedding, Sophie comes up with a plan. With her wedding day approaching fast and no father to walk her down the aisle, Sophie invites three men from her mother’s past to find out which one of them is her real father.

The performance was great, starting with the fantastic singers, the orchestra, and the dancers, all the way to the incomparable theater itself. It has such a wonderful atmosphere. Easy to reach by bus or subway. Despite the many visitors, check-in was fast. I would book another musical there in a heartbeat.

Such an amazing experience! Mamma Mia was full of energy, incredible performances, and such a fun atmosphere from beginning to end. The cast were fantastic, the music had everyone smiling and singing along, and the whole show was beautifully put together. Definitely one of the highlights of our trip and something I’d happily watch again! 💙✨

The intimate Novello Theatre created a great atmosphere for this performance. The seats are comfortable and the environment not too hot. Security and the ushers were friendly and efficient meaning the queue moved quickly and everything was streamline and ran smoothly. The show was very professional and top class.
