We ordered the tickets and we got straight in, all they had to do was scan them and we went straight in. It was amazing experience to be able to see all the fishes and different types of animals. We loved it, keep up the good quick work.

Last week

Entry easy having booked online. A busy time ..lots of young families but we found it reasonably easy to acccess all we wanted to see. We are two 70 year olds so our interests were varied to maybe what young children are interested in. Am going to bring my partner for his birthday in October. A good time.

We had a wonderful time with the little ones, entry was super easy without any problems We enjoyed the many different fish and other great things to see the kids had an absolute awesome time learning and experiencing all different activities they could do, it was easy to manoeuvre through even though we had 2 prams, Can't wait to come back!

Absolutely loved going to the Aquaruim. The exhibits were truly breathtaking and incredible. The staff was so courteous and lovely. From the start to finish it was amazing. The only issue was finding everything as not proper signage and map is unclear. My daughter found the perfect soft toy at the end of day.

We spent hours there walking around watching different animals from fish to sharks. We also saw a crocodile and lots of frogs. It was a fantastic wonderful experience. Would highly recommend it.

SEA LIFE Melbourne was one of the nicest surprises of my trip. I expected a fun visit, but I genuinely enjoyed it much more than I thought I would. The whole experience was smooth from the moment I arrived, the exhibits were beautifully presented, and seeing the marine life so close was unforgettable. I especially loved the underwater sections they made the visit feel immersive rather than just like walking through an aquarium. The atmosphere was calm, everything was easy to navigate, and the staff were friendly and helpful. It was definitely one of those places that made my day in Melbourne feel special.

Getting started

Enter via the main entrance on King Street and scan your mobile ticket—no printouts needed. Bags may be inspected at security. Lockers are available near the entrance. The venue is fully accessible for wheelchairs and strollers.

What to expect

SEA LIFE Melbourne Aquarium: This multi-level aquarium on the Yarra River brings you face-to-face with creatures from Southern Ocean depths to sub-Antarctic snowfields.

Meet Isabelle: Stop by for a special photo opportunity with Isabelle. Meet-and-greet times are 11:30am, 12:30pm, 1:30pm and 2:30pm on weekdays; 10:30am, 11:30am, 12:30pm, 1:30pm and 2:30pm on weekends; and 10:30am to 3:30pm hourly during school holidays.

What to bring

Footwear and shirts must be worn at all times.

For the Penguin Passport experience, wear/bring socks. Failure to do so may result in the tour being cancelled.

What's not allowed

Smoking and drinking are not allowed inside the aquarium.

Due to venue restrictions, pets, except guide dogs, cannot tag along for this experience.

It is prohibited to bring any weapons, fireworks, smoke bombs, glass bottles, or other articles which may cause injury.

The climbing of or standing upon railings, barriers, or structures is strictly prohibited.

For the Penguin Passport experience, guests must not come into contact with birds 24 hours prior.

No jewellery, watches, mobile phones or cameras can be taken on the Penguin Passport experience.

Accessibility

This experience is accessible by wheelchair and pram/strollers, however the Penguin Passport experience is not wheelchair accessible.

For the Penguin Passport experience, guests with flu, cold, gastro/respiration infection within 48 hours of their experience must contact the venue and reschedule their visit.

The venue welcomes all assistance animals and guide dogs.

Additional information

Children under the age of 16 years must be accompanied by a paying adult aged 18 years and above.

The Penguin Passport experience is for ages 12+. Guests 12–15 must be accompanied by a participating adult (18+), while those 16–17 need a guardian (18+) to sign a waiver at check-in.

The Penguin Passport is limited to 4 participants per session, guided by one expert.
