I visited all 3 Nature Parks with my 4 Grandaughters. We all had a great time! Such wonderful memories to have sharing these experiences together. Waiting for penguins to arrive then watching them waddle to their nests. Squeals of delight from 4 girls. Searching for and counting how many Koalas they can spot. That was fun! Then a relaxing wander around Churchill Islands beautiful gardens and magnificent scenery. Checking out the animals. The Peacock showing off his 'awesome tail feathers' Thanks Headout for making booking all 3 attractions simple and not an expensive treat for my Grandaughters.

All 3 parks on Phillip Island, easily booked through Headout, provided diverse and interesting experiences. Churchill Island gave a historical perspective, while the Koala reserve informed us of endangered species. The Penguin Parade was the highlight, with the penguins arriving via a "penguin raft" to nest in their burrows for the night.

Churchill Island and the Koala Park were absolutely magnificent. The penguin parade was a disaster and not worth visiting anymore. Unruly visitors and a complete inability to control them made for a terrible time.

Additional information

Visitors can bring assistance animals certified by a registered authority and must remain on designated paths and restrained by a harness or lead.

For the Penguin Parade, penguins arrive at sunset each evening, with typical arrival times ranging from 8:30 to 9pm in summer (Dec–Feb), 7 to 8pm in autumn (Mar–May), 5:15 to 6pm in winter (Jun–Aug), and 6:30 to 8pm in spring (Sep–Nov).

All revenue supports conservation, research, and wildlife rescue at Phillip Island.

Please note: On Tuesday, July 29, 2025, both Churchill Island and the Koala Conservation Sanctuary will open 2 hours later than usual, at 12pm. If you’re planning a morning visit, be sure to adjust your itinerary.
