First, I did a formal tour of the Opera House and was impressed not only with the information but the guide. She was fun, informative, and very professional. And to use all that information and to experience attending this wonderful musical that I have seen many of time made it all the more special. The Orchestra was magnificent, the stage presentation and costumes were first rate, and I was very impressed with the custom designers in total. Their attention to detail was superb. The sound that was projected as I sat in row and in orchestra was spot on. I thoroughly enjoyed the acting the singing, and everything that was involved on that stage coming from California and having season tickets to the opera, ballet, Symphony, as well as our musicals I believe made me so appreciative of what you have accomplished at the Sydney Opera House. Absolutely no room for improvement with regards to the event. It is so well organized for guest to enter and Leave and all the attendees were so well mannered. It was an exquisite evening and I thank you for this experience.

The performance was perfect. I loved the way that it was true to the original musical but also imbued with a modern, fresh feel. The choreography of ball scene was wonderful and the costmes throughout were truly superb and displayed originality and flair. The sets were brilliant and the changes done so swirtly as to maintain a lovely pace. A highlight for me was seeing Reg Livermore as Eliza's father. I saw his one man shows in Melbourne in the 70's. It was also lovely to see Robyn Nevin's wonderful characterization of Mrs Higgins and, of course, the lead roles were brilliantly performed by Claire and Nathaniel. The theatre was lovely as it felt intimate despite the size. The only thing that disappointed me was the failure of the audience to give the performance a standing ovation at the end.

Visiting The Opera House is always a memorable and brilliant experience. Seeing the classic My Fair Lady in the Joan Sutherland Theatre at the Opera House was therefore an unbelievably memorable and brilliant experience! From the superb orchestra to the vibrantly talented cast, the majestic score to the glorious vocals, the exquisite costumes to the stunning, intricate set designs...from beginning to end, this musical was simply breathtaking! It's so hard to single out any one moment as a favourite because it was all so thoroughly magnificent...but I think an indication of the dedication to creating a truly lush, beautiful experience for the patrons was when the sparkling chandeliers slowly dropped down into the ballroom scene - every single detail of this production was extraordinary!

Music floated through the Dame Joan Sutherland theatre as we settled in to enjoy this classic story. The opening scene bought back vivid memories of my beautiful Mother singing along to these warm romantic songs. Softly, I added my voice to those around me as memories of many in the audience joined the magic. The characters, both main and supporting gave an amazing performance and all looked like they were throughly enjoying entertaining the audience as well as singing the classic songs from the musical with passion and humour. Seeing some famous faces on stage such as Reg Livermore was an absolute treat. Thank you, to our talented musicians and creators of the show- an absolutely amazing experience. Can't wait for the next show the Opera House launches.

A real Opera House atmosphere that is 2nd to none. The Opera House attendants were warm, courteous and professional. The acoustics were quite good, though a couple of the actors dropped their voices a little as they spoke to the side. The show itself was sublime - the acting, the dancing, the singing and especially the stage sets were nothing but professional. The orchestra was extremely acceptable as we could determine each instrument. Well done to everyone, including the stage crew. You were all so professional. The show and Opera House could be recommended to anyone of any age. A pure delight.

I took my sister to my fair lady. We are both over 80 and as a treat we sat in very good seats. My sister had a sad thing happen to her and all I can say is that night at My Fair Lady gave her so much joy that it really soothed the pain that she had been feeling previously and she can't stopping raving. Quite simply we loved everything about it. The actors, the singers, the dancers, the production , the orchestra and music. I thank you very much for giving us both a large dose of joy. Congratulations.

My Fair Lady is a lovely musical composed by Alan Jay Lerner and Frederic and arranged for film music. I was very impressed about that theatre piece played by outstanding actors. The actress who played mrs Doolittle has got an excellent voice to sing not only musicals but also operetttes or opera pieces however you call it. Actors were good singers as well. Very good acoustic in Joan Sunderland Theatre of Sydney Opera House. Big value to attend to this musical. Strongly recommended.

We absolutely loved this production. The acting was wonderful, but the staging, costumes, sets and props were what really blew us away — visually it was spectacular from beginning to end. Seeing it inside the Sydney Opera House made the whole experience even more special (even if we were up in the top corner of the theatre); the venue itself is truly bucket-list worthy. A fantastic night and one of the highlights of our Sydney trip.

It was amazing. It is one of my favourite movies and when the chance to see the theatre production at the opera house came up, I was in. It did not disappoint. The music, costumes and singing was amazing, amazing, amazing, as were the sets. It was on my bucket list to see a show at the Opera house and My Fair Lady was perfect.
