Pro tips to help you make a pick

You will need to book a slot for your arrival at Sydney Tower Eye. After entry, you can spend as much time as you want at the observation deck.

About Sydney Tower Eye

Spot the iconic Opera House, the Darling Harbour, and the Rocks from the best vantage point in the city, the Sydney Tower Eye. While the enclosed observation deck is placed 250m off the ground, there is an open-air deck placed even higher at 268m called the SKYWALK. With the floor made entirely from glass, the SKYWALK ticket upgrade allows you to marvel at the city beneath your feet.

AddressWestfield Sydney, Level 5/108 Market St, Sydney NSW 2000, Australia
Also known asAMP Tower, Centrepoint Tower, Glower Tower, Flower Tower, Big Poke
Year opened1981
Founded byDonald Crone

Did you know?

The highest tip of the Sydney Tower is the spire at 309m off the ground, making it the tallest observation deck in the city and the second-tallest in the southern hemisphere.

The observation deck is enclosed by 420 glass windows, which are cleaned by an automated machine called "Charlie." It takes two days to clean all the windows.

The Sydney Tower is also popularly known as Centrepoint Tower. Although widely believed, the tower never officially received this name.

The spire at the top of the building is used for navigation and telecommunications.

Before the construction of the Sydney Tower in 1970, the height limit for buildings was set to 279m for flying boats, which were quite popular at the time.

Why visit Sydney Tower Eye?

Bird’s-eye view of Sydney’s landmarks

Spot several iconic landmarks of Sydney that make up the city skyline, along with the Harbour Bridge, the Sydney Opera House, the Taronga Zoo, and more.

Golden hour magic at sunsets

The views from Sydney Tower Eye are especially spectacular during sunsets. The cityscape lights up in orange hues and the stunning backdrop of the sun reflecting off the Sydney Harbour make for some truly screensaver-worthy shots.

Defy gravity with SKYWALK

Available with an additional upgrade, the SKYWALK is an open-air deck above the Eye with a floor made entirely of glass. With the SKYWALK upgrade, you can take a 60-minute guided tour and learn about the city's history while marveling at the distant city below your feet.

Engaging virtual reality experiences

Upgrade your tickets to the VR experience and sit in a specialized pod for an immersive experience. Ride a virtual roller coaster that begins at the tower and takes you around the city, or take a swim with deadly sharks in a narrated POV experience.

Gourmet dining with a view

With 3 different restaurants serving gourmet meals in a soothing ambiance, dining at Sydney Tower Eye is a luxurious affair. Indulge in a variety of Australian dishes and beverage pairings while enjoying the beautiful views. The caviar tasting menu, coupled with special wine selections at Infinity, is a must-try!

It is one of the best zoo that we visited so far. Kids and adults enjoyed the place, shows were amazing. Follow the map with green circles and you will be able to cover the entire zoo. It is huge with more than 3000 species so it will be helpful to follow the map which also have details about the shows. Start early morning, since we prebooked with headout we were able to directly enter in to the zoo and did not had to wait in the ticket counter queue which was long due to school break.
