From the moment that we stepped out of the taxi you could "taste" the atmosphere. Initially I wondered if as, not a literary of Shakespeare scholar, I would feel overawed or out of place. Nothing could have been further from the truth. All of the staff and volunteers were fantastic. We were made to feel welcome at every stage and loved the buzz. Again, as "Shakespeare virgins" we didn't really know what to expect. We were blown away! Truly outstanding how the company, all of the company, made the prose jump off the page. We were hooked! Thank you all.

Brilliant Performance. The show was high energy and very funny. The Globe theatre is a fantastic venue - how amazing to see Shakespeare as close to how it would have been back in the day. Volunteer Ushers are amazing!! Only small quibble - ocassional plane going into London City Airport can make it hard to hear dialogue for a few seconds - bet Bill didn't have to put up with that !!

This was such a fun night out! It was truly a wonderful cast and an incredible experience to see the Globe Theater in person. The space alone is a work of art -- it was all so magical! Definitely glad we caught the live captioned version of the performance as well... This was so helpful for keeping up with the story!

I was not as familiar with this play, but that didn't matter at all. The actors were absolutely brilliant and I was in stitches laughing throughout. 100% recommended to anyone looking for a great time. Even if you end up standing for the whole performance. One of the best theatre experiences I've had in years!!

I have wanted to come to the Globe for a long time and it didn't disappoint. The intimate atmosphere really added to the performance but the actors were absolutely fantastic. There is no need to worry about understanding Elizabethan English - the acting tells the story beautifully

The whole cast brought real energy, but Benedick was the standout. Every line landed, every reaction got a laugh — the kind of comic performance that makes a five-hundred-year-old joke feel fresh again. The sparring between Beatrice and Benedick is the engine of this play, and when the actor playing Benedick is that sharp, the whole thing hums. Sound design deserves a mention too — clear, well-balanced, no fighting against outdoor acoustics or ambient noise, which isn't always a given at an open-air venue. Being in the yard gave an unobstructed, close-up view of the action, which only added to how immersive it felt. Altogether: a genuinely joyful night of theatre, carried by top-tier comic performances and a production that used its outdoor setting well rather than fighting it.

I loved standing in the pits, watching the actors who were often less than a meter away from me. The mere atmosphere of globe theatre takes you back to Elizabethan England. With the standing tickets being only 6 pounds, I would say this is a spot you simply have to go to if you are visiting London.
