The architecture alone is breathtaking — the grand facade and sweeping courtyards set the tone the moment you arrive, and the interior only gets more spectacular from there. The guided tour was incredibly informative, bringing centuries of Spanish royal history to life in a way that kept us engaged throughout. The Royal Collections on display are simply outstanding — from priceless tapestries and paintings to ornate furniture and weaponry, every room tells a story. What really surprised us was how much you get for the price. For such a world-class attraction, the entry fee offers exceptional value and the visit easily fills a full half-day. Absolutely incredible experience, especially for anyone who loves Spanish royal history. The Royal Collection, crowns, jewelry, letters and stunning rooms were fascinating. Buying the ticket in advance also made entry super easy, with no waiting in line. The only downside was that some areas felt quite crowded with large tour groups, but overall it was an unforgettable visit.

It was beautiful. I opted for skip the line, however, there was no line to skip. Could have saved a bit but visiting for only a few hours and wanted the extra security.

Note that you cannot touch restricted artworks and furniture, sit on chairs, on the palace floors, or obstruct the passage. Also, running around the rooms, smoking in patios, gardens, or indoor rooms is strictly not allowed.

Due to venue restrictions, pets cannot tag along for this experience.

Entry is free between 5pm to 7pm (4pm to 6pm in winter) from Mon to Thu for citizens of the European Union, residents, and holders of a work permit. To avail, simply carry the required ID proof.

Expect a wait time of up to 1 to 2 hours on busy days before your experience begins.
