Kunst wird in Licht und bewegte Bilder transformiert. Man kann in das Kunstwerk 'eintauchen' und damit 'verschmelzen'. Die Animation ist toll gemacht. Bravo Die Musik ist fantastisch, sehr passend gewählt und hat mich begeistert. Der Besuch in der fabrique des lumièrrs war tatsächlich ein Highlight unseres Amsterdam Besuches.

Getting started

Arrive at Fabrique des Lumières in Amsterdam's Westergasfabriek and present your ticket for entry. With this all inclusive pass, you can visit all three exhibitions during your visit without choosing between them. Check the exhibition schedule on arrival and enjoy each presentation at your preferred pace.

What to expect

Set inside a restored nineteenth century gasworks, Fabrique des Lumières combines monumental architecture with cutting edge digital technology to create immersive audiovisual shows unlike a traditional museum visit. As light, music, and animation fill every corner of the venue, you'll move through three distinct exhibitions, each transporting you to a completely different world.

Dutch Masters, from Vermeer to Van Gogh: Follow the evolution of Dutch art through masterpieces by Vermeer, Rembrandt, Frans Hals, Jan Steen, Van Gogh, and Mondrian as centuries of artistic innovation unfold in vivid motion.

Klimt: Admire Gustav Klimt's iconic golden masterpieces, including The Kiss, before the exhibition introduces the bold ideas and remarkable artists of the Vienna Secession movement.

The Prehistoric Planet: Dinosaurs: Inspired by the acclaimed documentary series, this exhibition brings ancient ecosystems to life with realistic dinosaurs, dramatic natural environments, and cinematic storytelling based on the latest scientific understanding.

Have your entry tickets and ID ready for a seamless experience.

What’s not allowed

Smoking, food and drinks, umbrellas, prams, child carriers, strollers, suitcases, and other large items are not allowed on this experience.

Due to venue restrictions, pets cannot tag along for this experience.

Flash photography is strictly prohibited at the venue.

Safety is a priority so this experience is restricted for unsupervised guests under the age of 12 years

Accessibility

This experience is wheelchair accessible, except for the Hall’s tiered seating.

Two wheelchairs are available for visitors.

Your guide dogs are welcome at the venue.

There are 40 seats in the main exhibition area, and foldable chairs can be borrowed at the entrance if needed.

Some exhibitions feature light effects, which may not be suitable for individuals with epilepsy or vertigo.

The venue is located at Westergasfabriek, Amsterdam.

Multiple exhibitions may run at the same time, and the lineup changes periodically.

9:30am - 11:30am (Dutch Masters)

12 noon - 2:30pm (Prehistoric Planet)

3pm - 6pm (Gustav Klimt)
