Great way to see the sights and get out at what takes your fancy. Two comprehensive circuits of the city, including up to Fiesole, which was nice. Just watch out as some of the earphone sockets do not work.

Azzura was so knowledgeable, patient, and fun! My family learned a lot more than we would have on just a self-guided or audio tour. I cannot overstate how much we enjoyed it. Highly recommended.

Visita molto bella. Unico neo non era possibile accedere a una parte della basilica, come per esempio alla cappella con il crocifisso di Donatello, senza nessuna ragione apparente.

Zugang zur Basilika war schnell und unkompliziert. Besucher haben sich gut verteilt. Die Basilika selbst war sehr beeindruckend durch ihre Kirchenfenster, die Malereien in den Kapellen, dem Grab von Galilei sowie dem Innenhof des Orden-Gebäudes .

Seeing Florence as it is from the street level. Architectural beauty, people, topography, traffic. It was great to hear about it's history via the audio headsets too. However traffic noise and delays did affect our enjoyment of the event.

Hop on and off across 2 routes and 25+ stops in Florence for 24 hours, with an 8-language audio guide included on every bus.

The Blue Line covers Florence's historic centre: Santa Croce, Piazzale Michelangelo, and the artisan streets near Santa Maria del Fiore Cathedral.

The Red Line reaches hill towns like Fiesole, the Museo del Calcio, and quieter residential neighbourhoods along the riverbank — a different side of the city from the same ticket.

Skip the ticket counter at Basilica di Santa Croce and walk straight in. One ticket covers the basilica, all chapels, the cloisters, the crypt, and the Opera Museum — including the tombs of Michelangelo, Galileo, and Machiavelli.

The bus stops directly at Santa Croce. No separate transport to arrange, no second ticket to buy at the door.

Tip: If you visit Calcio Museum at stop #6 on Line B, you could learn all about the history of Italy's national football team!

What's not allowed

Bulky luggage and large backpacks are not permitted on the hop-on hop-off buses

Bare shoulders and knees are not permitted inside Basilica di Santa Croce — the church is an active place of worship. Lightweight cover-ups are sufficient

Accessibility

Wheelchair users can board hop-on hop-off buses only on buses fitted with a footboard and dedicated wheelchair space. Only one wheelchair is permitted per bus at a time. Wheelchairs must be secured with safety belts and brakes locked while the bus is in motion

At Basilica di Santa Croce, wheelchair users and visitors with reduced mobility can enter via a ramp on the north side of the basilica at Largo Bargellini. A raised platform at the cloister exit onto Piazza Santa Croce serves as an additional access point. Admission for visitors with disabilities and one accompanying carer is free of charge and does not require advance booking

Note that the chapels in the transept, the Novitiate Corridor, and the Sacristy are on a raised level accessible only via steps and cannot be reached by wheelchair

Additional information

The Red Line of the hop-on hop-off tour operates on weekends only from 3 November 2025 to 31 March 2026. It runs daily on a limited schedule from 20 December 2025 to 6 January 2026. The Blue Line operates as normal throughout this period

Small and medium-sized pets are welcome on the hop-on hop-off buses, provided they are on a leash, muzzled, or in a carrier

An audio guide is available to rent inside Basilica di Santa Croce in five languages. This is not included in your ticket and is paid separately at the venue.
