Dragão Stadium isn’t named after a fantasy novel—it’s a full-blown symbol of FC Porto’s identity and stands for strength, resilience, and that fierce “never-back-down” attitude.

Back in 2003, during the stadium’s big opening match, a 16-year-old kid named Lionel Messi made his first senior appearance for Barcelona. Porto won, and Messi’s debut flew under the radar. These days, Porto fans casually drop, “We saw him first.”

Dragão Stadium was the first European stadium to earn the EU’s “GreenLight” badge for energy-efficient lighting. Turns out, even a stadium with fire in its name can lead the way in sustainability.

The FC Porto Museum is a must-visit, even if you are not a lifelong supporter. The trophies, historic shirts and interactive displays bring the club’s story to life. You can really feel the pride, passion and winning mentality that define FC Porto. One of the best football museums I have visited.
