Our Group of 7 had an amazing time on this tour. The Acropolis is breathtaking from all vantage points, but when you hike up and stand at ots base, it is awe inspiring. The history and craftsmanship, alomg with the sheer size of this important piece of history left us all just wowed. Allow yourself alot of time, as there is alot to see and the walk itself is moderate to severe at times. Comfy shoes and lots of sunscree, I recommend an umbrella as the Grecian sun is not to be toyed with. Greeat experience for the money, ad definitely a bucket list worthy place,

It was great! More info online about rough terrain and status of the elevator would have been helpful. We took my father in law and it was rough for him, but he did it and felt it was worth it.

Visiting the Acropolis was one of the highlights of my trip to Athens. The history, architecture, and breathtaking views of the city are truly unforgettable. Standing beside the Parthenon and seeing these ancient monuments up close gives you a real appreciation for Greece’s rich cultural heritage. The site is well maintained, and the information provided helps bring its history to life. I would recommend visiting early in the morning or late in the afternoon to avoid the crowds and the heat. A must-see destination for anyone visiting Athens. Highly recommended! Wear good footwear the walk can slippy at times and take plenty of wawr as can be very hot.

With only a two-day stay in Athens, we were able to spend hours at the Acropolis on our first morning then used the buses to see many sights in the city. From the antiquities at the National Archaelogical Museum to the changing of the guard at Parliament, the bus got us there smoothly and with very short wait times to "hop back on." On day two we saw Piraeus and some beaches. That tour was highlighted by a relaxing dip at Lake Vouliagmeni, then back into Athens for shopping and dining in Psiri. There is no way we could have packed so much into our short stay without the convenience of the Gray Line buses. HIGHEST recommendation!

We were unfortunately delayed this morning due to a family emergency. We were booked in at 8.00am but did not arrive at the Acropolis until 9.25. We were advised our ticket had expired and we could not enter. This was very disappointing and the lady in the ticket office was not sympathetic or understanding to our situation. I found this very disappointing.

Bus picked us up right at the ship, and dropped us off about 100mtrs from the entrance. From there we were able to view the amazing ruins and get great scenery of Athens. There were also cafes bars and shops a short walk away from the entrance so we were able to visit those and make our way back to the bus for our return journey to the ship in good time.

What I liked most was the sense of history hitting you all at once. Standing next to the Parthenon, knowing it's over 2,400 years old, is genuinely humbling. The view over Athens from the top is also stunning — you can see the whole city sprawled out below. I appreciated how well-preserved everything is, considering its age, and the information panels helped me understand what I was actually looking at instead of just admiring old rocks. Going early in the morning made a huge difference too — fewer crowds meant I could actually take it all in and get some good photos without dozens of people in the frame.
