Visiting the Acropolis was one of the highlights of my trip to Athens. The history, architecture, and breathtaking views of the city are truly unforgettable. Standing beside the Parthenon and seeing these ancient monuments up close gives you a real appreciation for Greece’s rich cultural heritage. The site is well maintained, and the information provided helps bring its history to life. I would recommend visiting early in the morning or late in the afternoon to avoid the crowds and the heat. A must-see destination for anyone visiting Athens. Highly recommended! Wear good footwear the walk can slippy at times and take plenty of wawr as can be very hot.

Bus picked us up right at the ship, and dropped us off about 100mtrs from the entrance. From there we were able to view the amazing ruins and get great scenery of Athens. There were also cafes bars and shops a short walk away from the entrance so we were able to visit those and make our way back to the bus for our return journey to the ship in good time.

Definitely go as early as you can. There was already a line when we arrived at 0730. Crowds were crazy so we were glad that we arrived early with our pre-purchased tickets. There was a very friendly young man checking tickets and then scanning people in. Definitely a must-see, super historical and so very well maintained.

Early morning weather and crowds not pleasant. Suggest one goes up late afternoon. Less people and clearer sky. The online booking works well and one can beat the crowds to the top of the Acropolis. My second visit in over 30 years so great to see the progress in restoration of the site.

It was so amazing seeing the history. Lots of walking and stairs , and the terrain is often just large rocks,so you have to be careful walking around. But definitely worth it to get up close to these ancient structures!

This is the second time I've been here since 2018, but I still really love Acropolis even though it's quite crowded. This time I have a beautiful set of photos to introduce to my friends about this place

The combination of the hop-on bus and the ticket is actually great, but since we arrived by boat, the two-day hop-on pass wasn't much use to us. It's also a real shame that the first bus leaves the harbor at 10:10 a.m., because that means you're out and about in the midday heat during the summer months.
