The two castles we visited were spectacular, each with its own unique features. Chambord. Inside, the video presentation—in French but completely understandable—was a highlight. The garden didn’t look as good as expected due to the heat, but the castle more than made up for it. Parking costs 8 euros. You can spend 3–4 hours there. Chenonceaux Castle. Its gardens far surpass the castle itself. It’s worth visiting just to see them. Parking is free. The castle, of course, has its own charm and is spread out beyond the central complex into pavilions such as the Science Pavilion and the Pharmacy Pavilion. There are also gardens of medicinal plants and a very well-maintained vegetable garden with water fountains for both the garden and the visitors. Both are highly recommended. And with the mobile ticket, it’s very easy to enter without waiting in line at the ticket office. However, if you want a self-guided tour, you must purchase it at the ticket office before entering the grounds.

The visit to Chenonceau Castle was simply wonderful! The castle is impressive, and its location over the water makes it truly unique. The lovingly tended gardens are also well worth seeing and invite you to take a relaxing stroll. The tickets worked without a hitch, and the entire visit was well organized. A wonderful experience and highly recommended!

Everything was perfect, especially the flexibility of being able to choose your own arrival time. The Chenonceau Castle and gardens are truly worth seeing. It’s best to go first thing in the morning (they open at 9:00 a.m.). After 10:00 a.m., it gets very crowded.

A stunningly beautiful castle—well worth the visit. We were in the area for just one night but didn’t want to miss this. And it was definitely worth it. The drive there, the driveway, and then the castle and the beautifully maintained gardens. In a word: amazing.

Buying tickets online meant a shorter line; there was a slight delay with the Kamen tickets, or rather, they would have been easier to access if we’d installed the app. We were already standing in line at the ticket counter when we bought the tickets online... But everything worked out in the end.
    • Explore Chenonceau Castle, renowned for its antique-furnished interior and an art collection featuring masterpieces by Correggio, Rubens, and Murillo.

    • Perched elegantly above the River Cher, its arched bridge offers a fairy-tale setting, perfect for capturing photographs.

    • Get exclusive skip-the-line tickets for direct entry to Royal Blois Castle and explore the Royal Apartments, once inhabited by 7 kings and 10 queens.

    • Take a leisurely walk through the Fine Arts Museum, showcasing over 300 remarkable artworks by renowned masters like Ingres, Rubens, and Boucher.

    • Fun fact: During World War I, Chenonceau was transformed into a hospital. The gallery spanning the river was used as a corridor for transporting wounded soldiers.

Truly beautiful and spectacular castles—Chambord is the most impressive, and Chenonceau boasts its meticulously tended gardens. The only downside: too many people.
