Pre-booked e-tickets are usually scanned directly at the gate if the barcode is readable. Access from the village is relatively flat, but once inside, paths are gravel or earth. Queues are usually light to moderate, though the entrance gets busier around mid-day in July and August and on weekends.

The Chateaux Chenoncaux is truly a very special look into an ancient time of French nobility. The ambience is so delightfully soothing and engaging. The gardens and surrounding grounds are beautiful and relaxing. Thoroughly enjoyed my visit and would heartily recommend a visit to this enchanting estate.

Loved the chateau and all the rooms. It was great to see displays in so many rooms which helped make it come alive. It would have been fun to see some mention of the Chambord liquor made in the town of Chambord somewhere near the exit of the chateau

Chambord Castle and Amboise were great; smooth visit. An iPad is provided for the tours and included in the admission price. On the other hand, at Chenonceau, the iPad costs €5 even though admission to the castle is the most expensive of all! Plus, it's hard to get around when several groups of 30 people arrive at the same time! There should be specific time slots for groups for better organization.
