Traveling through Switzerland by train is highly recommended. The transit is very punctual, and you can really enjoy the views. Every minute of delay is announced, which rarely happens anyway. Interlaken had a detour by bus, but it was well organized and clearly marked. We also visited several museums with the pass, and the trips up into the mountains are a lot cheaper.

A very easy trip to make with the Swiss Travel Pass. I had no issues with public transport, and indeed you get free entry to many museums and activities, and where it isn't free, there is a substantial discount.

It was an excellent way to travel by train, bus and ferry. However, there was one disappointment. I had understood from "Frequently asked questions" that I could use it on the railway from Montreux to Rocher de Naye, but I found it was valid for only half of the route, so I had to buy a ticket for the other half of it.

Seamless activation

After booking your pass, you will receive a PDF in the confirmation email.

Download the ticket and show either the printed version or use the digital ticket containing the QR code to the conductor to board the trains.

Your pass will be activated on the day selected during booking.

Your pass is valid for the consecutive number of days chosen. For instance, if you picked the 3-day pass, your pass is valid for 3 consecutive days. It ends at 5am on the day following the last day.
