It was an excellent way to travel by train, bus and ferry. However, there was one disappointment. I had understood from "Frequently asked questions" that I could use it on the railway from Montreux to Rocher de Naye, but I found it was valid for only half of the route, so I had to buy a ticket for the other half of it.

We had a Swiss Rail Pass for the 4 days we were in Switzerland. Having the pass is the best way to see Switzerland! We traveled to 5 different destinations across the Country, and never had one problem with the trains. They were always on time, it was super easy and convenient to change trains as we traveled from city to city, and the views were spectacular! We also used our Rail Passes for the buses within each city, and we took two cruises using the passes as well, with no additional cost for the buses or the boats! We loved our Swiss Rail Passes!

That's fine, but it's a shame that you have to guess after just one day of use. We have a 6-day pass, and after just one day, it's already in the history. So I have to keep searching for them in the app...

The Seiss Travel Pass is really useful—it lets you take boat and cable car rides without worrying about tickets. It even offers discounts on attractions like the cable car in Grindelwald, for example. It was a huge help to me.

Seamless activation

After booking your pass, you will receive a PDF in the confirmation email.

Download the ticket and show either the printed version or use the digital ticket containing the QR code to the conductor to board the trains.

Your pass will be activated on the day selected during booking.

Your pass is valid for the consecutive number of days chosen. For instance, if you picked the 3-day pass, your pass is valid for 3 consecutive days. It ends at 5am on the day following the last day.
