Main Entrance (Avenue Corentin Cariou)

Located at 30 Avenue Corentin Cariou, this is the primary entrance to the museum, directly facing Parc de la Villette and just steps from the Porte de la Villette Metro station (Line 7). The entrance is fully wheelchair accessible, with wide automatic doors, ramps, and step-free access to ticket counters and security. Clear signage in French and English guides visitors from the street and public transport stops. This entrance is recommended for all visitors, including families with strollers and those with reduced mobility.

Parc de la Villette Entrance

Accessible via the park side, this entrance is ideal for visitors coming from the Grande Halle de la Villette, the Geode dome, or the canal area. It features step-free access and is close to the children’s play areas. Wheelchair users and families will find smooth, paved paths leading directly to the museum doors. Signage and staff are available to assist with directions.

There were a lot of people, but entry was quick and very orderly—though you’ll need patience during peak hours. It’s a lot of fun; you learn about history and get to admire everything there is to see.
