I know that the light show was designed by the castle’s visitor services department. Personally, I found it unnecessary. This way of presenting history was superficial and unnecessary. That doesn’t detract from my praise for this tour as a whole! We walked through the grounds at a leisurely pace, with plenty of time to look around. The highlight was the stop at the upper end of the grounds. I would have liked to have stopped at the greenhouse just before that. The tour guide was incredibly friendly, attentive, and extremely helpful. He kept track of everything and remained remarkably calm in a stressful situation where all the eager visitors were talking at him at once. Great!! My mistake—misunderstanding the booking date—was kindly rescheduled to the following day. Thanks again for that! I had a wonderful day at Schönbrunn.
