Rovaniemi: Family Snowmobile Safari at Santa Claus Village

What to bring

• Documents: Bring your valid physical driver's license (class B) if you plan to drive a snowmobile.

• License language: Ensure your driving license is recognizable in English, as pictures or provisional licenses are not accepted.

• Warm layers: Wear a warm base layer such as thermal underwear under the provided winter gear.

What’s not allowed

• Alcohol: Do not consume alcohol during the tour, and you cannot join the safari if you are intoxicated.

• Meeting point: Go directly to the tour office in Santa Claus Village at the set meeting time.

• Program duration: Expect the total experience to last about 2 hours, including dressing time.

• Driving rules: Only adults with a valid class B license may drive a snowmobile, and adults without a license must ride in the sledge.

• Sharing snowmobiles: Two adults share one snowmobile by default, with single driving available as a paid supplement.

• Child pricing: If a child over 140 cm rides as a snowmobile passenger, an adult price applies, subject to availability.

• Child seating: Children 1–13 years sit in a sledge behind the guide, and a parent is advised to sit with very small children for safety.

• Mini-snowmobiles: Children 4–12 years and up to 150 cm tall can drive a mini-snowmobile for 10 minutes.

• Age advice: Children under 2 years old are not recommended to join this tour.

• Late arrival: Missing the meeting time or place results in a missed safari with no participation.

• Vehicle liability: The snowmobile driver is liable for vehicle damages, with a set self-liability per person per snowmobile in case of accident.

• Optional insurance: Purchase insurance on-site for €15 per person before the tour to reduce self-liability to €150.
