They called us on the phone because we hadn't found the meeting point due to a mistake on my part, and they came to pick us up—they were very kind. The tour itself was wonderful, taking us to fantastic places that the driver explained really well, helping us take the best photos and teaching us about Navajo traditions.

Unfortunately, the pickup was poorly organized. There's definitely room for improvement. We waited an hour for the guide. He forgot to pick us up, so we ended up driving there ourselves. He drove us back to the viewpoints we had missed.

What’s not allowed

Large bags, suitcases, and oversized luggage are not permitted on the tour vehicles.

Alcohol, drugs, and any form of intoxication are strictly prohibited during the tour.

Pets are not allowed unless you have reserved a pet-friendly vehicle in advance.

Smoking is not permitted during the tour.

Accessibility

This experience is not wheelchair accessible due to rough terrain and the need to get on and off the tour vehicles.

Additional information

Please be advised that Monument Valley honors Daylight Savings Time. We use Mountain Daylight Saving Time. (MDT) When we are on daylight savings time we are 1hr ahead of Arizona time, when we are off daylight savings time we are the same time as Arizona time. Please make sure you are using the correct time zone for your scheduled tours. If you show up an hour late for your tour, we cannot guarantee a rescheduling of your tour, so please be aware of the time differences.

The tour uses open-air trucks seating up to 12 people, with closed and pet-friendly vehicles available upon request. Please specify your preference when booking.

Meet at the Monument Valley Visitor Center tour booth to begin your tour. Check your confirmation for directions.

The park entrance fee of $9 per person is not included and must be paid separately.

Tips for your Navajo guide and all other personal expenses are not included.

Recommended for ages 4 and up; infants (0–3) may join but may require special arrangements.

Tours can be booked no later than 1 day before 18:00 (local time).

Bottled water and ponchos (if needed) are provided.
